At work so this will be short and sweet.
Diet day 1-Lunch
Lean Cuisine
Banana
Yogurt
Green Tea
Dinner-
Veggie Salad
Water
Snack-
Crackers with Cheese
Money spent yesterday- $8.00 for gas (Thank God for a small car and $8.00 gives me almost a half a tank of gas).
I'm planning on starting to do walking a 3 mile walk once a week and move it up to 2-3 times a week when I get into the swing of things. Dieting sucks! I've started and quit diets so many times and I'm a firm believer that you have to want it bad enough to stick to it and that's part of the reason that I fail is that I don't try hard enough. I don't believe I should pay money for Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig I think it's within myself to do it on my own because this time I have the drive to do it.

Let's Get Started!
What can you expect with my blogs? I guess it will be a hodgepodge of everything that is meanful to me. This could be movies, music, gossip, food, politics and just randomness that is meaningful to me.
So what's got meaning to me this week? To be honest I'm at a crossroads in my life where I'm 43 years old and single. I feel I should be doing something, anything with my life. Anything other than what I've been doing for the last 43 years. Is it bad that I'm loving being single? That I am enjoying every single moment of freedom in my life right now. That I don't have to answer to anyone or have to rely on anyone other than myself. I'm fortunate that I have a job that I love, a roof over my head and that for the most part I'm very content with my life. I plan on using this blog as a way to keep track of my expenses (trying to save and be smarter with my money), as well as keep track of what I'm eating everyday (with an exception to today being that the diet does not start until tomorrow)
This weeks goals for myself-
1- Start being more creative- meaning I want to be more artistic with the direction I'm going with my apartm
ent. This gives you an idea of what I hope to someday acheive with my apartment.

It's hard to make meals for just yourself when most recipes apply to 4 or more people. So I end up not only wasting a lot of food but overeating because of this. Or at least this is my excuse for why I'm currently 40 pounds overweight. So my goal is to be smarter with my food choices. I hear smoothies can be filling so I hope there's some truth to that! Tomorrow is day 1 and I plan on fasting for the first day to cleanse my system. Wish me luck!
3- Spoil my dog! I have a Jack Russell Terrier that I adore and she has energy to boost. She has been cooped up in my apartment for the most part due in part to the horrible Michigan winters that we get, so except for the brief jaunts outside to go to potty she has been going stir crazy in this apartment. New game plan is to walk her as much as possible and in the process it will benefit me as well. It's a win, win!
Today's expenses- ZERO! I spent the day cleaning and doing things around the apartment like reading and catching up on some movies I've been wanting to watch all of which cost me nothing.
